Can you identify these hubs?

These came on my D60 front that came off a CC truck. Are they drive flanges? Could they be auto locking hubs? How strong are they?

They are auto hubs from the 80's by the looks of em , they don't do a good job , remove them and get some Warn Premiums which are easy to warranty .

should I expect them to fail with the front open. I don't have a locker up there yet.

You never now if your set is going to lock in or not . Mine would grab when they felt like it .

I've had two different sets on different trucks decide to lock on one side at 70 mph. Toss 'em asap.

My auto hubs (1/2 ton) were great... when they still worked. One started to engage when it wasn't supposed to, and wouldn't when it was. Made some pretty horrid noises, surprised there was no carnage. Ditch 'em.

I agree with the others, toss them but instead of the scrap pile, just put them on eBay as someone out there will buy them. Money to help defray the cost of new D60 hubs which are not cheap.
