is it possible to put a tru-trac from a 9.50" rear axle in a 9.25" front axle if it is what would you have to do to make it work?

I dont think it would work either way. the ring gears are different sizes.

they both share the same internals the dodge and chevy their the same axle I dont know how much difference is in the 9.25 ring gear it shares the internal parts with the 9.50 so do you think it is the same carrier just with a slightly thinner mounting flange or what could be the differances between the two other than being HP vs LP

The ring gear will not bolt on. Internals may be the same but the carrier itself is not.
