Canadian CK5'ers beware!!

Re: Canadian CK5\'ers beware!!

That's right Rene

I don't know where baldk5 is getting those numbers unless that's the mark-up a local shop is charging him but like you said, it's approximately $1.55 now. Actually it may be a little closer to $1.53 right now as the dollars was up to a little over 65.5 cents yesterday when I checked. Either way, it's still not cheap!!

Re: Canadian CK5\'ers beware!!

I use UPS quite a bit for shipping parts to the usa from canada and it seems alright, but go figure this, I can ship from Canada to the USA freight collect(you pay shipping when part arrives) but I can't ship within Canada freight collect. I just can't figure that out, and when I asked UPS they just said "that's just our policy".....on a lighter note, I do wish they would put the flames on those ugly brown trucks, like they show in the #88 Dale Jarrett Nascar/UPS Commercial.....just my 2 cents...Canadian funds....I think we should drop the Dollar name and just call it the Canadian Peso.......ED

Re: Canadian CK5\'ers beware!!

Not sure if this helps or not, (for future shipping) but I had a pair of $250 heads (US) sent to me in WA from Toronto via UPS. Neither Canadian nor US UPS centers could tell me if I was going to get screwed on tariffs, taxes, what have you, so it was basically buy and see. The shipper included NAFTA paperwork in the box, and although the box was never opened, I was never charged anything for the border crossing. I think I paid about $50 US total. It depends on what "class" they put the items in you are shipping they told me.
