im replacing the auto hubs on my 88 and i started taking them off, but i cant figure out how to get the body of the hub out. it seems so simple but i cant figure it out. anyway, i need someone to tell me how these things come out.

There should be 2 snap rings - 1 on the end of the stub shaft and another in a groove in the end of the bearing hub "snout" (you'll probably need a pick for this one).

[/ QUOTE ]I had the same problem with mine, the grease created a suction at the lock ring. I bought a set of picks and used the 90 deg pick to work them loose, I hope this helps you out. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

If you already have this one out then take two of the small allen head screws and put them in the end of the hub so you can use them as handles to pull the hub out.

yes i took the allen head bolts out. do i need to take the rotor/hub assembly off?

Nope, you can remove the locking hubs (manual or auto) with the tires still on the ground.

The auto hubs have two little pieces sticking out you squeeze with pliers and they come out that way.
