Hi there,

I'm putting a 4 core radiator in my truck. It is an 74-80 truck but I've converted to an 81-87 Front Clip. I have the earlier designed rad hold-down that I got off a member on CK5, and I CAN make it work by cutting my rad support and doing some mods.

However, I'm looking for a pair of 4 core rad hold downs - the ones that go on each corner of the radiator. I have tried going to wrecker yards, but as they pull the rads prior to putting the trucks out to pasture, the hold downs are always gone and the dudes running the auto wrecker come from that breed of cat that has NO IDEA where those hold downs might have ended up.

Does anyone have a pair of these hold downs? Again, it is for a 4 core, and likely will come off some 1 ton application. I'll buy em brand new, but LMC Truck does NOT have the correct ones for my application either under the Truck or Suburban catalog. I've already tried then ALL. I think used might be the way to roll.

Thanks,

got mine at the dealer, it was a one piece that went from end to end, IIRC, it was for a BB engine.

I have that piece at my shop and I didnt' think it was correct. I'll revisit it when I'm out there. I've bought EVERY bracket off LMC Truck in a fit of rage at this problem as I don't feel like making something for this particular part. I'll take another look and see if I am just retarded (smart money in Vegas is already putting odds in favour of me being retarded).

I bought mine from the dealer. It is a single plate that goes from one end to the other and it is GM part number 14018600. I bought it in 2002 and paid $10.07 back then, can't imagine they've gone up too much more.

You're a Saint 4X4HIGH. I've been looking for that part for years.

I took my short plates to a local welding shop and he extended them both for $10. I had the wider rubber rad pad for him to use as a guide as to how much to lengthen the plates.

#18 has the hold downs made into it. So you don't need both parts.
