Well after doing the axle swap and putting on the 40's I really noticed the height difference today. Went to pop the hood, and couldn't get enough leverage on the handle (its a 79 so it is outside) so had to get some tools to open the hood. Well got it open then went to put my foot on the bumper and grab the stinger, and well put it this way, it took me a few tries to get up on the bumper and crawl into the engine compartment. Going to be a PITA to pull the engine here in a few months.

PICS!!!! :woot:

(my 80 was a double beeyotch to do the hood latch too)

ladder

sounds like hood latch bolt needs adjusted

and may want to find smaller set of wheels tires for engine pull time unless you have overhead crane setup

roll around wheels

i work at a auto shop and i got 4 scrap tires 205/55/16 of the riceers and some loaded compact americans cars. thay fit great on stock 16" rims and the pumkin on my 14ff is about 3 1/2 -4" off the ground . :surepal:

I will post some pics tomorrow once I get it out of its cage. Have a few little things to do but going to get started first thing in the morning. Would have done it today but had a major hangover.

Yeah I was thinking smaller tires too. I have 2 31's I think I willthrow on the front when I pull the motor.
