these things are a pain to get off. i soaked the bolts in pb blaster and ima try to mess with it tommorow any suggestions or pictures. this damn thing is kicking my arse. i need to put my big ranch hand arb bumper on there before my mom throws it away(haha in her garage)

Keep soaking the bolts...and get an impact. I got the one off my '87 Crew Cab that way. Took a little wrangling to get the gun in place on a few bolts, but none broke and they all came out. Never even busted a knuckle!

i had a great painted bumper on a truck i stripped for extra parts for my blazer, i never pulled the bumper cause it was too much of a pain to try and get off......

of the 8 bolts used to hold it on, i twisted 6 off trying to remove the rear bumper off my 86...as for the front bumper, a grinder or saw-all on the head of the bolts works great...

When I took mine off I ended up welding nuts on two of the bolt heads

I had to take my rear bumper off today..i went for the brackets rather than those weird rivet/bolt things in the actual bumper. I still got pretty agitated and torched them off, though. haha. bumpers are not friendly.

Lol...they're actually called carriage bolts...i can only imagine how tuff tha axles/spring/etc bolts r gonna b when i try to swap axles n tha near future...

Man I guess Im lucky , the only bolts that have ever given me trouble were the axel u-bolts...
I also took the bumper brackets off to get mine off.

I just put mine back on, glad I live in Texas, so I don't have to deal with Road salt that just F everything up.

Blazer is 23yrs old with very litte surface rust on chassis from settting so long.
It only had 1 liitle spot on the body, they had to fix, when it was painted.
