can\'t get my tailgate open

this happened about a week ago my window stopped going all the way down and the tailgate won't open. i took the panel off the inside of the tailgate, how do i get it to open? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Try doing a search for "tailgate window", there are a couple of good posts out there on this subject. I can tell you that the tailgate won't open if the glass doesn't go down all the way. There is a switch that detects when the glass bottoms out. Your best bet is to find out what is stopping the glass from going all the way down.

With the rear panel removed there are two rods that extend to either side of the of the tailgate, pull them towards the center and that should open it. If the window is stuck, you can unbolt the sash from the actuators, and manually move the window.
