First post in almost 8 years in this forum. It is great to be back. I just picked up a 72 Jimmy with a rebuilt, all stock 350.

About a week ago I started having a problem where once the engine was warmed up I can't hold idle. It just sputters out as if the engine was cold. Are there any common things I can try trouble shooting?

When its cold the choke is closed assuming you have one and draws fuel through the venturies. As it warms choke opens and all fuel is drawn through the idle circuts.Sediment build up will cause a blockage of the ilde circut so a carb rebuild may be whats in order.

yeah, this is where I was heading too.
vacuum leak that just started (PO's glue came off :) )
or the choke blade isn't opening, spring being bad, might mess with the idle (unsure)
(welcome back BTW)

Just to circle back on this. yeah it ended up being my vacuum line was loose. No problems since. Thanx for the tips.
I'm learning...I'll tell you what though, it is so intimidating posting on these boards if you are a n00b and didn't grow up with this stuff. I appreciate the kind tips.
