Can\'t open tailgate-Please help!

Since Saturday my electric tailgate window stops about 2 inches before it reaches the bottom and because of that I can't open my tailgate. Anybody know how to fix this. If I take the cover of on the inside of the tailgate what should I look for. I have never had it apart and I have no idea what to look for. /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

It sounds like the regulator or one of the tracks is going bad....
Pull the cover...see if anything is jamming the glass.

Well, of course you need to find out why the window won't go down, so I'd look for that first. To defeat the safety feature, just depress the little "handle" looking thing at the bottom of the inside of the tailgate. Once you remove the cover, look down in the bottom center. You will see the release down there with a spring attached to it.
