I'm trying to set my TV cable for my trans on my '91 blazer. It's got a 350 TBI with an auto trans. It's the newer version of the 700r4, I think the 4L60??? In any event, I need to set the TV cable, but the I can't press the D button. It's hard enough to get your fingers in there, but when I do, it won't budge... Any ideas? I had the throttle body off again, and now it's shifting hard, I don't want to cook this trans... Help!!!!

I've used a small screw driver to help depress the button, you might try that.

Might be 180* out also, causing you to push on the wrong side. Happened to my friends truck just the other night, he had never set one before and couldn't do it, he was all pissed off, asked me to try it out. It was upside down, and he was pushing on the wrong side, lol

Haha, I'll have to wait until morning now, it's too dark out and the engine was too hot to really see what's up... I'll let you guys know when I get it figured out. I really appreciate all the quick responses!!! Another reason why I love CK5!!!!

I tried it again this morning, no luck, it won't budge... It's facing the right direction, but I can barely get a finger in there to push the button let alone any tools. I've got to be missing something or the things just seized up... Do I need to detach the cable from the linkage to release some tension or anything?

I finally got it, I just had to find the right sized screw driver for the job. Shifts like a new truck now!!! Thanks again.
