i put a new caliper/rotor on thefront passenger side on my dana 60 and im useing one of those vacuum pumps from oreilys. its a hand pump that u pump bout 15 times then release bleeder andit sucks the air out.drivers side it workd fine, but passenger side the air bubbles keep coming.....doesnt look like its leaking anywher and the brakess feel good truck stops good just pulls hard to drivers side when you really step on them. :dunno: could it have a real slow leak im missing?

ya im guna try that tomarrow, and have a 2nd hand pump the brakes the old fashion way, i was reading the manual and it said somthing the pump mite be sucking air thru the threads of the bleeder, so that my be where the air bubbles are comin from. and thinkin about it since i put a new rotor on that side and not the other. the driver side might be grabing better since its not a new smooth rotor and thats y its pulling so hard when i stomp on the brakes.

It probably is sucking air through the threads. As for the pulling; rotors, calipers, shocks, pads, ect. should always be changed in pairs.
If you change the other side, my bet is it will brake strait.

Agreed, although its become common place that if calipers are in decent shape, but one develops a leak its alright to replace the one.

Why dont you try manually bleeding it with a second person to verify your issue is coming from the bleeder?

yep guna do that today, just checked it this mornin and it seems like theres brake fluid comin from between the brakline block and banjo bolt washers. but its hard to tell since its been raining all nite too. but the brake pedal doesnt feel squishy at all and feels really good. :dunno:

yep confirmed, it is brake fluid coming from banjo bolt and brake line block. it looks like its coming from the bottom of the block. so im goin to return the caliper, and get new banjo bolt

Go ahead and replace the other caliper while you're at it. No reason not to.

Did you replace the copper washers? A 1/4 turn can make you go from not leaking to tight as a drum.

yep, and banjo bolt. and bought new caliper and the new one still leaks. not bad tho... it holds pressure tho.... and i can lock up driver side front tire when i slam on brakes. it jus seeps out. but the rings around the hole that seal the brass washer for banjo bolt have nicks in them. and the first caliper had almost no rings at all...so im thinkin its just the crappy casting on the calipers im getin from autozone. im goin to try orielys and look at the calipers there

i would, but kinda scared to run into same problem...and on a tight budget.

Both of my oreillys calipers were nice. No nicks, dings, or burs.
And don't be scared to tighten that badboy up. Those copper washers go on either side of the brake line, not sure if you are doing that. And they are meant to crush and make the seal.

ya i was cranking down on them, im thinking its just the caliper castings...im goin to oreilys tomarrow to look at theres.

i didnt even mention how bad the first caliper leaked until i used a old washer. it was just streaming down the side of the caliper....

went to orielys and sure enough first one i got didnt leak. and fit tight unlike the 2 i got from autozone that moved and had play in it even with the clips and spacers in. i told the guys at autozone to sh*t in the box before they send them back to return the favor cuz thats whats there dealers giving them....
