Can\'t shift into 2wd. (Is that actually a problem?)

HELP! I have a NP203 transfer case with brand new MM locking hubs. The truck goes into and drives in 4WD but when I put the hubs on free, there is a grinding noise and the truck doesn't move. The driveshafts don't spin or anything. I know the T-case is all time 4wd but the hubs on free should let me drive in 2wd. Anyone have an idea? /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif

To drive in 2WD you need to be in 4Hi-loc (shift lever all the way to the back of the truck). If not, your giving all the power to the front driveshaft.
