Can't this @#$%er started!

just so I'm 100% clear - this is the coil below. and the modual is the little thing under the cap ..it's like like 2.5in x1.5 in size

thanks for the tip. Again.. when it shuts off it's not immediate.. more like a sputter for about 3-5 seconds.. then it shuts off. I crank up.. may have to turn it over a few times but it always gets going again.

I still think it's fuel related but I may try a new coil and moduel.

My cap does not look like that, the coil is mounted separately.

A lot of good tips and ideas. Thanks

All the fuses are good, the ECM fuse was the first thing I checked hoping for the easy fix.

Turns out it was the ICM. Replaced it on a hope and pray shot and it fired up faster than ever!

Thanks for the help guys!

BTW Recon.. I didn’t mean to hijack your post.. your post title has a similar name as mine... I thought I was posting in my topic and made a mistake. Glad you got your problem fixed.

I saw that a while ago, and thought I was losing it......:doah:

RECON!!!
Welcome back DOOD! Wish it was on better terms, like wheeling pics, but I'm glad things sounds busy and the truck isn't too far away from running.

That's after how many "tests" that showed it was good? I thought I read like 6 times or something. Good to know for future reference, that test is either a waste of time, or the parts monkey's don't know how to run the test/interpret the results.

Glad you got it running.

Thanks for the welcome back!

6 tests total. I was about to attempt to rip my hair out, but luckily right now I have a shaved head ;)

Shake that module around a bit prior to testing. That usually shows if they're good or bad.

But, parts monkeys may not know these things.
