Car keeps stauling

ok, i replaced the idle air control valve and it still stauls. it does it mainly when i am in reverse and i dont give alot of gas it stauls, it will also does it when i am in stop and go traffic and just tap the gas. how do i fix this? i have a 1989 GMC Jimmy 350 v8 5.7.

well, I think you meant to say your "truck " is stalling, have you checked for vacuum leaks? thats usually what causes that. all the vacuum lines good, gasket under the throttle body, egr sticking open. need to go around everything carefully with a propane torch unlit and see if it revs up in certain areas, and NO SMOKING while doing this!
