It looks like I'm solo this year. If anyone wants to caravan or hitch a ride, I'm heading out from San Jose, CA on Tuesday morning and plan to be back late the following Monday. The plan is to head south through Vegas and then north to Moab on Thursday.

I might be down on the way back. I think I am headed out early Monday, not positive yet though

Cool. Are you up in Davis or down at SC? The northern route is the same distance for me I just default to the southern since Vegas is a good halfway point. I'm due back at work Tuesday morning so Id be leaving early Monday morning at the latest and doing a straight through return trip or leaving Sunday afternoon to get as close to either Reno or Vegas as my brain can stay awake for. :)

I am up in Davis. We usually go the northern route and charge through in one day. We have more than one driver though so it makes it easier. I will talk to my Dad and see what his schedule is then let you know our plan.

Oh man thats a long drive! One year I made it from Moab to Carson City in one 12 hour shot (driving the k5) but I was dead tired after that. I could probably hang with you for half way, but I plan to stop at least once to sleep.

I talked to my Dad and we are thinking of running something quick Sunday morning then heading out early afternoon and passing out somewhere in Nevada Sunday night. I am stoked to see your truck, its come a long way since BB 2008

Sounds like a decent plan. I guess we can figure it out later on.

Sounds good, you staying at slickrock?

What up this year? No hot chick riding shot gun this year? I might still go, still up in the air. I have not done anything safety wise for the Jimmy (i.e. cage), so I will probably stay away from Pritchett. We will leave thursday and return Sunday. Doesn't look like we are going to have a very good turnout fron Ridgecrest this year. Would like to car pool if or departure and return trip line up.

I will be leaving Sunday from Ridgecrest ~30 miles off the 58 (east of Bakersfield) let me know what your departure plans are.

Nah the girls still coming, shes probably as excited as I am. I am running BFE Friday, Trifecta Saturday and probably Hells Revenge unofficially Sunday morning if anyone wants to join. I figured it would be a fast one, right in town so if anything goes wrong its not in the boonies. I hope to see you guys out there

Yep, #173. the only guy in a trailer spot without a trailer.

Do u guys know if there r any spots left. I am sure there is not but u never know? This year is a last minute trip if I still make it...it has been an interesting year (good and bad).

I'm not heading out until Tuesday otherwise that would be easy to meet up. There's probably spots left at slickrock. Even if you can only get a tent spot, I've probably got extra space I can loan out to park your rig.

i've also noticed that every year the cabins are all reserved, but there is always an empty one or two from last minute cancellations.

Wasn't your trip in '08 riding with Glen, last minute. I remember you guys arriving in Moab just in time to make the run on Flat Iron. :D

That trip was definetely the definition of last minute. Drove straight there and back flat towing Glens Jimmy behind my truck over 1900 miles. Don't forget the seized front wheel bearing on the way back at 70 mph. Spent three hours in Utah Napa trying to repair the splindal. Glen still using the spindal though!

Anyways sorry guys I am not going to make it this year. Don't have the funding...spent too much extra money getting power out of my 4BTA Cummins. Hope to have a cage in it next year and maybe 40MTR's. Hope you all have a good time and I will try to get a better turnout from Ridgecrest next year.

Brian
