Are carb and TBI hard fuel lines the same diameter and thickness?

The diamiter is just a matter of looking at what size it is and getting the right one.TBI is 13psi max so standard fuel line and hose is all you need.I use the fuel injection hose clamps because they dont cut up the hose like a standard clamp.

I was wanting to use my on carb fuel lines and then use compression fittings and TBI adapters for the fuel tank and Throttle body connections

I think in probably every state compression fittings are eligal to use for good reason. Not that I havent seen them being used with no leaking. You need flaired ends/an fittings or rubber hose over steel line with FI clamps.

the feed is 3/8 and return 5/16 .

seem to be the same size for both style fuel systems. and i would say away from comp fittings.

there is adaptors out there or like i do just make 1 end of the tbi line dubble 45 flare to the stock carb stuff and use union fitting and bam all done.

last thing you want is a leak on your rig let alone fuel leaking.

AN fittings work just fine for fuel.I was going to go that same route with the OEM hardlines but found it was more trouble that it was worth.
Summit sells a 3/8 fuel line that is good to 300 psi and -6 barbed end fittings, and Earl's makes the -6 adaptors for your sending unit and throttle body you'll be good to go.
Or if you really want to use your hard lines and some kind of fitting, then I suggest Swedgelok. these are awsome fittings but pricey.
