lately my engine has been loading up at idle to the point where the exhaust is smoking with very rich fuel mixture. then once I take off from being at a light or stop sign it clears up. also its harder starting like it was flooded. now this has just started this week.
Now I just replace the inline fuel filter that was one of those clear plastic ones to a metal one but I doubt thats it. I was thinking my ignition coil might be going bad. or maybe I possibley need to replace my plus and wires.
Whats your opinions?

well I took out the ignition coil and the little red wire was shorting out against the metal frame. I put a spare coil in, but I think I will replace the plugs too.

I have checked the fuel screws and adjusted as needed.
I will find out this afternoon if its any betta. I am going to change the plugs and wires also just becouse they have a alot of miles on them.

Well it seems to be doing betta with the coil changed and even the tach works now:D. but it still is loading up, but not as bed. Also, I used to be able to crank it right up after I shut it off. now I have to pump the pedal.
Now when I drive , it runs fine. Its mainly at idle and start up after running ,that I am having like a flooding issue.

so whatcha think ?
I still need to change the plugs and wires, but I do not know if that will fix it.

Totally unrelated but I can't post in the memeber forums yet. Scrappy I'm interested in the Blazer you listed for sale. I'd like to know where in VA you are? shoot me an email at [email protected] and I'll mail ya back my phone number so that we can discuss if you still haven't sold it. Thanks
