well. so when Im driving, and I go WOT. sometimes the truck will run OK. but most of the times. The truck will start bogging down. real bad. Then even when Im Light on the throttle AFTER WOT. the truck is bogging down. like its running out of gas. or getting too much gas?
not enough air?
Im not a carb guy.

so any info would help. thx

there could be so many things going wrong that you have start eliminating possibilities. mechanical or electrical pump? its working properly? air filter is clean and big enough for the motor? is the carb big enough for the motor? is the trans shifting right and it still feels down on power? stall speed of the converter is right for the motor? fuel lines are right diameter and haven't swelled with age or gottem pinched? fuel filter isn't clogged? timing is right and advances properly? no vacumm leaks anywhere? fuel floats are working and set properly? jets are right for the motor? plugs are gapped right and clean. plug wires are good and big enough to deliver a good spark? is the exhaust big enough for the motor?

should I keep going or would you like to give us more to work with?

Odds are its fuel delivery.
Weak fuel pump.
Since its a carb, odds are its mechanical on the engine. If you have a lot of miles on it, you might want to got ahead and change it.
But, change the fuel filter first. Some models have a filter screen built into where the fuel line hooks to the carb and sometimes people forget about those.

If you see black smoke when you punch it, then check the air filter, but its probably going to be gas.
If the pump is not all that old, you can try rigging up a fuel pressure gauge to check it. If you see 0 pounds when its causing problems, you either have a bad pump, or a clogged line.

Its not unheard of for the sock in the gas tank to get clogged, but check the other stuff before you start dropping the tank.
If you have good fuel flow, then the float in the carb may be sticking.
