Carb Problems

Truck cranks fine but idles real high............Never idles down. Just starting to get back to working on the truck after it sitting for about 8 months.

Had taken the front cap off the do some rust repair. Thinking it maybe vacuum related. Anyboy got a vacuum diagram for a qaudrajet carb. Or any ideas what might be up with it.

man i had a simaler problem- bit i found it! my linkage on the pass side was gettin stuck on the high step of the fast idle cam

i also went to a firmer return spring i dunno q- jets are a pain i still want to learn more about em

How high is it idling? Does it do it even after a full warm up?

Possible the carb is just gummed up, spray everythin down with some cleaner and see if that helps, and check yer return spring, mine was weak and causes a higher than usual idle.
