It's a road demon 625

Upon start up it will not idle. It just dies, If i sit and hold the gas after about a minute it will somewhat idle. Then once I begin to drive it acts like It's way to rich. It will get better as it warms up. It's kind of like a weed-eater, if that makes sense. When you first start it, and hit the throttle if bogs and dies.

So tonight when it was still warm I lowered the bowls. They were both at the top of the sight glasses. I successfully adjusted them to read right in the middle of both. At this point it would idle perfectly and did so for about 5 minutes without a hickup.

Until...an hour later I went to pull it out of the shop. Except it will now idle for about 30-45 seconds instead of like 5-10. I would start it, run and look down the carb. The secondary boosters? are dumping fuel into the bowl. I can see gas flowing out of the vent holes as well. I tried to lower the bowl level but nothing happened. It's dark and I've given up for now...mom yelled at me for it being too late. (Read my neighbors:mad:)

Any suggestions? I can't quite figure out how to lower, or why the hell the secondaries are dumping fuel at idle.

Lower the floats a bit more. If the boosters are overflowing it could be fuel percolation as well, especially after a hot soak.

Fixed my problem, I had lowered the float so much that it had "sunk":doah:

Ended up having to take the back bowl apart to get to it and take it out.
