Just purchased a Edelbrock AVS2 650 CFM electric choke for my 77 k5, will be a upgrade from my older edelbrock, my question is does anyone have one in their rig and how do they like it i ready good reviews on it cant wait to install it and see the differences just would like to cruise around why i decided to buy this model

Ive heard good things about the avs2. I was looking into the offroad version of the avs2 (Edelbrock 1916).

What are you putting it on?
Did you have good results from youre last carb?

Once you put it on, youll have to report back and tell us how you like it.

currently have a edelbrock 1406 so it was time for a upgrade, i did not get the offroad version as i just want to be able to cruise, running on a sbc 350, excited to see the results def will let ya know

I have the off-road version. It's pretty much install and go. Mine required some adjustment to stop dumping as much fuel. But after a few days of tinkering it's been very reliable.

Cold starts are easier after adjusting the choke. Depending on where you live, it will require 3-4 times a year adjustment. Here in San Diego I usually adjust it for just summer and winter driving

I have the exact carb on my 78' with a 350sbc. I like it and haven't had any issue at all. It's been on the truck 3 years, and so far so good.

I'm no carb wizard and this has worked well for me.
