carb questions again...

Well i cannot for the life of me get the quadrajet to work right so im replacing it. Thing is i dont whant to get another a q-jet so i was pointed twards the Edelbrock 1400s. So my question is which one works and will still pass smog? Thanks for the help, and no im not putting on another a q-jet so dont even sugest it. I need serious imput as i dont have a truck to drive right now.

just stick a 600cfm electric choke on it and call it good. just dont try climbing any decent size hills with it....they puke out on you

well the K-5 is suposed to be the reliable daily driver and the LUV is supposed to be the project, but it always turns out quite the opposite...
Anyway i dont the K-5 will be getting wheeled too much more than diving through the occasional mud puddle.
