Cruising around today, it gets hot under the hood.. no shiz, right?

So I was wondering if purchasing a carb spacer would have any benefit to my truck? I was browsing the jalopy forum and they all seem to like them. They noted only benefits. They all seemed pretty hot on the “Wilson” spacers but those are just too expensive.

From the top of air cleaner I have about 1-2 -3 inches or so, not exactly sure.
Anyway,
Any recommendations? And will any linkage be messed up raising the car up an inch or two?

Do you have any actual problems you’re trying to solve with a spacer?

If no problems, I probably wouldn’t install one as you won’t see any real power from one. If you feel the fuel is boiling inside the carb, which is unlikely, then you’d want a spacer made from plastic or wood not metal.

Engine Masters has a dyno test of spacers posted on the Motortrend app, I think they eventually hit YouTube.

Nah, I haven’t noticed any issue but with AZ summer heat coming I doubt it will hurt to put one on. Seems most guys use them for the EFI set up and some with big and small blocks.

Just bored and browsing around. Figured I’d ask here if it’s worth the $30-40 to throw one on.

open = higher rpm power

multi hole = lower end torque

So which would you recommend for a a k5 with a 350 and 37’ tires? I would venture the low torque version, yes?

I’m not looking to redline this truck in races.and most of the articles just go on about more power. I just want the carb to be cooler.

Yes, yes I will. I look forward to that day. With my luck it will be sooner rather than later. Then I can start another 90 page thread on how to rebuild a blown up 350.

If I put a nitrous sticker on my truck while drinking a nitrous energy drink, will that increase HP?
