What do I need to do to switch from carb to TBI on a 86' blazer with a 350?
Thanks
Adam

You can use a stock Quadrajet manifold with an adapter, correct? I've seen those adapters installed from the factory on some TBI 454's.

I am using the adapter on my 350 carb intake with the injector. No complaints so far. Keeps you from changing the heads and intake or intake.

Furthermore, if you use a Furd oilsaver extention for a spark plug, you can use it for a bung for the O2 sensor into the existing pipe, retain the manifolds you have. They also sell the actual bungs for that purpose...

The only difference is on the newer manifolds the bolt holes are straight up and down and on the older ones they are angled. So to make it fit you just need to grind the holes a little to make them angled

So the bore that the bolt goes through needs to be ground or the seat that the bolt head comes in contact with needs to be ground? Or both?

Otherwise the ports and such align?

If I remember right just the 4 center holes need to be ovaled out, other then that the ports and bolt holes and everything lines up. Got to love Chevys lack of change over the years

Thanks, and I did see that someone else mentioned just the 4 center holes in another thread.

There, fixed it for ya!
