Carb to TBI

Adam,
I used the adapter that summit sells for the throttle body bolted to my edelbrock performer. As far as sensors go, you need the following: o2 sensor located on the exhaust manifold, knock sensor located on the engine block passenger side, coolant temp sensor located by the thermostat housing, map sensor located on a bracket next to the spark conrol module which you also need bolted to the intake manifold, distributer and coil. You might also want to grab the fuel pump relay bolted to the firewall, and the oil pressure switch that interfaces with it. You will also need the sending unit, pump and lines from the gas tank, unless you are doing something custom for the fuel supply. Grab the speedometer and the little green box that is connected to it.

My fairly tame 350 ran ok with the factory computer, but was not optimal. You will most likely need a custom chip for good performance, and even then I think it will be hard to get the tune you are looking for. I got rid of the factory computer and installed a megasquirt computer along with a wide band O2, and cant say enough good things about it.

good luck

Can I just install a electric pump on the frame rail? If I do that can I run the same sending unit????? just a Thought
I'm thinking of grabbing the tbi and computer...main wire harness off from a truck. should I just order new sensors????
Thanks
Adam

u can run one on the frame rail, but if u can afford it i would get a tank, sending unit, and fuel pump for an 87 blazer, it will fit fine in an older blazer. the fuel pump will stay much cooler.
