Carburetor Wanted

Looking for a 4 BBL Rochester Quadrajet.
Would like it to have an electric choke and possibly a Calif. model ("5" code).
anyone have one laying around that they are not using?? /forums/images/icons/cool.gif

I have two Rochester Q-jets... but they're not electric choke. If I'm not mistaken, an electric choke is an easy conversion with parts available at most automotive parts places like Autozone or Pepgirls.

They both need rebuild... I have rebuilt many carbs in the past and can do so on these... let me know if interested.

ive got one rebuilt,ready to bolt on. dont know about code 5?$175.00 plus the ride from richardson TX, 75080 got another one on motor and have edel 1406 not 4 sale

Well, give me some info on it.
Is it electric choke?
What year is it?
What is the id number on it?
do you have a picture so i could see it?
Answer these questions and if it is what I need I will make an offer.

Will it be for your 73 if so I have the one off my 73 ( what's the cal code model # thingy) but it is manuel choke - heat risers ...mike

none of the code digits on carbs have anything to do with cali or not, they are year code, tranny type, make, barrels count, etc, not if are emissions for cali or federal,
i have a 79 Qjet with electric for 35 plus mail if anyoen wants one that works well, was taken off of a very good running 79 BB engine, i sold engine after removing carb and a couple other items a month ago,

i dont need carb, it is extra and i need a few bucks for project, so,,

keep in mind that i stil have my carb for sale, think its 17051932, have to check again, thats from memory, im usually pretty good with numbers recalling., i hate to sell but i dont have to have it right now as i have one on the 71 project, so,

only thing it needs is to put the rear vacium break diapragn back on with the two screws, i rmeoved it to get the th400 kickdown switch linkage off.
does not need built, its ready to run removed from runner BB engine 79
