A standard car hauler wont fit my burb to begin with so I bought a 7k cargo trailer. I have the rails on top and will cut them off. I am sure there are other bargin hunters that converted a cargo trailer to a truck hauler. I am just trying to get ideas for extra width and adding some strenth.

Thanks

Hey Dom, I just made ramps out of wood(free) to set up against the inside edge of my fenderwells, that way the tires ride up and over on the wood without crushing the fenders. The tires just hang over a little, but i'm going to make some extensions to correct that. And, yes, I did bolt the ramps in place and loaded the truck on them last week. I decided against trailering to BB after Diesel prices jumped up another 30 cents.:doah: Oh, almost forgot, does the trailer you got have brakes on it?

The fenders arent that big of a deal, its the side rails that seem to give a lot of support. I would hate to have my bigolburb crush the punney trailer on the way to the trail.
It 78in between the rails and my front axle is 84ish.
