Oh,man!--I didnt expect to see THAT kind of carnage!!--I thought I'd be looking at an engine with the rods hanging out of the block or something!--I just ate breakfast too--hope I can keep it down!.I did something like that to one of my thumbs years ago,I was closing the trunk on my GTO and it didnt latch,so I turned around and slammed it with my left hand in an awkward position,and the thumb on my right hand got crushed between the trunk and the body--I had to twist 180 degrees and open the lock with my left hand!--I didnt go to the ER,but I should have--the thumbnail turned black as coal and fell off in a few days--I was in complete agony for weeks--looking back,I should have gone to DR.Feelgood for some percocets!--but I toughed it out--about 3 weeks later I could write with a pencil again,it was months before I could turn any bolts with that hand.Injuries suck---and take only seconds to make you hurt for a long time--life if your unlucky!--I hope you heal quickly.This should be a good example for others to see why it pays to be careful in the shop,or while working on your truck--.Now I must remember to NEVER click on this post again!!! /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif

I'm recovering from my own drill press incident..... a little less traumatic than yours.

Keep that thumb clean because that would be a bitch if it got infected.

Well that was not the greatest idea. Alcohol thins your blood and therefor makes it take longer for your blood to clot and stop the bleeding.

But you survived to make this thread. So no biggie.

Yeah, I realize that... It wasn't bleeding too bad and I would have rather had a little more blood loss and the beer than no blood loss and a glass of water...!
