Hey fellas
I've been thinking about putting some industrial outdoor carpet from lowes or so in my blazer. So has anyone done this before and has pictures? I was even wonder what is the material you cover speaker boxes with? Thick enough?

My buddy did his 4runner with that stuff. Worked well.

When I get carpet for the Jimmy I'm gonna do that stuff out back over the new carpet

I used some of the 8 dollar carpet from Menard's in my c20 and it works pretty good. I'll try to get some pics of it later.

Here's the one in my c20. It doesn't lay down real well in the middle, but I'm sure somebody could do something to remedy that.

I used some in my '72 K5 back in the 80's--I came across a leftover piece that was big enough to do the whole rear floor, for free at a carpet store's "salvage pile" out behind their building near the dumpster, the salesman just said "go look out back, help yourself, its all being tossed"..
--it was indoor/outdoor rated with a 3/8" thick soft rubber backing, which prevented sweating under it and rust...

I also used some of those "peel & stick" indoor/outdoor carpet tiles back in the day in another Blazer too...they really sucked to remove a few years later !..
They worked fine,I should have just let them be..but they got all greasy and grungy from hauling parts ,so I decided to rip them out and just paint the floor..

That carpet should hold up real good in a vehicle application.
My first truck I put in leftover house carpet from when the parents had it done. Turned out pretty well plus it was stainmaster so I could easily clean it. LOL Ah to be young and poor again.

Good deal! I'm planning on heading to lower to scope out some new carpet
