I'm putting some cheap carpet in my Blazer until I can afford a good carpet kit. Does anyone have any suggestions on doing the fender wells. I don't expect it to be perfect with the quality of carpet I'm using, just thought maybe some of you had been there and could pass along an idea or two.

If I were doing it I would do one strip across the top front-to-back and another piece to go up the side maybe. If you try to do it all as one piece it won't lay right. Did your Blazer have fenderwell carpet to begin with? My '73 doesn't.

It did have carpet on the fender to begin with. I Never planned to do this temp fix so I didn't keep them...Dohh! I'll try your suggestion. seems like its probably my best bet. Thanks!

Take a large peice of cardboard or paper to get fit. Then cut your carpet wider than wheel well (from side of bed to floor) and then cut a little longer than front to rear going over the top.

You should have a roughly square of carpet. Next cut the width of the top area from floor to the hump (straight side of red). Next cut the other to form the red area I drew. You can use velcro to hold or carpet tape.
