Has anybody carpeted the inside of their fiberglass top (similar to a camper shell)? I want to get this done but am wondering what I should expect to pay, and also if this is something an upholstery shop would normally do.
don't forget the disco ball hanging from the ceiling! And you need to paint, "The Stabbin' Wagin" on the side when you're done.

Most of the noise comes from the wheel wells and body, and wind noise from seals. To make your truck quieter, you would be better served to put sound deadening material on the sheet metal under the dash, on the floors, inside the doors, and inside the side panels. When you're done there, replace all the door and window seals, including the rear tailgate. It's by no means necessary, but I thought it could help with noise while making the interior nicer.

And if your worried about your ears just wear ear plugs!![]()

Or turn up the radio so loud you won't hear the engine.............![]()
I have no problem hearing the engine, it's the exhaust that I don't like to hear, I never liked to hear loud exhausts, when I bought my van in 87, I put 3 mufflers in line to make it completely silent, and it was great on th elong trips I frequently did, driving 5-6 hours straight can kill your ears and head if you have the loud exhaust like the one in my suburban now.Imo the engine is the best sound. Idk why you would want to cover it up lol
