is the carrier bearing really more than 250?? mine sounds like im driving on snow chains... And I assum it needs to be pressed on?

This is on a V3500 Gmc

if you mean 2 peice drive shaft then thay are fairly easy to do.

shouldnt be 250 bucks for a new one unless installed .

got to airhammer or press old off and best to press new on.

got to drop whole shaft to do it.

just open up the phone book and find a driveline shop or big truck shop and get a nice new reg old setup. or even local reg parts store .

the oem unit lasted that long why go crazy . :dunno: thats a lot for a carrier bearing if you ask me.

and dont pull the 2 parts of the shaft apart with out marking the alignment of them. you need to line them back up before reinstall. the shaft is balenced in 1 way and also phased . if you get it wrong it will vibrate.

thank you for tips.. i will get out my markers.. i only asked bc i found replacement for 265? and this was 205. i guess i have to search for oem more.. thank you
