Carrier question

I didn't have access to a press to pull of my carrier bearings so I did what I was told was easier. I broke off the cages then used a die grinder to grind partially through the bearing then used a punch to break it. My question is I nicked the carrier a few times with the die grinder. Will this have any adverse effects on anything? Thanks

just make sure there's no burrs and it should be fine, the bearing presses on it so it's not like it has something rolling over it.

Just knock the burrs down, there is still plenty of mating surface left.
