Well there are sorta parts for the stereo. Looking for classic 70's rock and country music. Or if you know some one who can put cds on to cassette let me know. I am not going to cut the dash on the burb I just can't do it to the truck. It made it 26 years intact.

Thanks

I can put CD music onto cassettes for ya, if that's what you wanna do.

But what's wrong with hooking up a portable music player (of your choice) to one of the ubiquitous tape adapters (or FM transmitter)? I've been rocking that way for years now. :dunno:

And you have a factory 1.5-DIN digital stereo, right? Or am I getting my trucks mixed up? If so it wouldn't be hard to insert another factory box in there without cutting up the dash...

I have lots of cassettes, but most are so old and worn out, they are not much fun to listen too...or the "good" ones I have, probably wont be the type of music you prefer..
Its easy to transfer a CD to Cassettes,I use an old CD/AM-FM boom box that has dual cassette decks...

I got one of those "fake" cassettes that has a wire and a plug on it that allows you to plug it into an earphone jack on a CD player and play CD's thru the cassette deck...it works very well, they are less than 10 bucks to buy new..
I found two of them in junked cars at the junkyard..

I have one of those and an mp3 player. Just hate to buy mp3s on Amazon.

I have decided NOT to cut the dash. After 27 years of avoiding the knife and hacks the truck is a true survivor and I just can't do it.:doah:

I will try to find a cd to mp3 converter.

CD --> MP3 is super easy if you have a computer. Easier, even, than CD --> tape. No need to re-purchase the music from Amazon. Lots of software options out there to accommodate the conversion, but your standard Windows Media Player should have the conversion function built-in.

And I had forgotten your "special" stereo was still a 2-knob radio. For whatever reason I thought you had the later all-digital style.

I could go with a add on CD changer but as I said I can't see the cutting dash. My dad had a bunch of cassettes so I have Willie, Waylon and some others.

Don't cut your dash! Just get iTunes and import the CD into your music library. Go to the folder it saves the music to and copy it to the mp3 player.

found a treasure trove of old country music from my father and my old am/fm cassette player recorder. For now I am good but will reread this when I am back and not in a burger king.
