I have some 20 year old catco cats that might be giving issues. I've got some walker resonators.

Currently running full length headers , cats & dynamax mufflers.

How much louder would it be doing cat delete and adding resonator?

Any power gains? Stock 305cid , holley carb

Probably not much of a dB difference swapping the resonator for the cat

HP gains would depend on the cats. If they are plugged and/or undersized, then there could be some gain
Both 3" and working, you may lose power adding a resonator

Clear as mud
:D

As the other thread indicated, check the inlet and outlet temps of the cats. If they are working the temp will be higher on the outlet.

I would assume if any internal damage, they would not show much for increased temp on the outlet. IE, the matrix broken apart, etc.

Dual exhaust/cats on a stock 305? Probably not very restrictive.
