K$) and a reminder...

I need an antenna badly, what will you take to me here at 93523?
Reminder:
Use of the Linear AMplifier posted is ILLEGAL!!!!! Any more than the legal 4 watts of power for a CB is against FEDERAL laws. Although there is a LEGAL loophole, in an emergency ANY power is legal! But for just talking it's BAD and WRONG and punishable by a $10,000 fine, 6 months imprisonment or both....
It is also illegal to sell to an unlicensed radio operator and should not be done...

But then so is removing your catalytic converter!!!!

Simple....

You get a short piece of cb antenna wire that goes between the amp and the radio, then attach your antenna wire to the amp. It is ALWAYS best to make sure your SWR or standing wave ratio is less than 3:1 where 1:1 would be perfect. Too much ratio and some of that power comes back into the radio thru the coax and burns out the radio...

Once again, it is ILLEGAL to operate a Citizens Band Radio with ANYTHING more than the 4 watts of power the radio already comes with...

But then it's illegal to exceed the speed limit, or dump your used oil into the gutter....
It is however, completely legal to use any amount of power in an emergency...

I dont know. i didnt know any could have been broken until someone posted it on this forum .

What federal law is broken if using an amplifier?
WHile most people know it's illegal, some just HAVE to ask.
Part 95 of the Federal Communications Commission states that MAXIMUM LEGAL POWER is 4 watts Amplitude Modulation, 12 watts Single Side Band Peak envelope Power.

Here's an article, please pay attention to the part that says use of illegal and often poorly tuned linear Amplifiers has made Citizen's Band Radio less useful.
