My bud just put in a new cb and when ever he keys the mic it just beeps on his cb and on mine. He can recieve when I call him on his though? Does anyone know what it could be?

What kind of CB?
Can you swap out the mic for another one. One wire may be broke. Turn the Modulattion all the way up too?? The beep is probly a rogerbeep? Power Mike?

Oh and make sure the antena is grounded at the mount...

I don't know what brand it is but i do know it is brand new, no pun intended. The antenna is a fire stick and just has one plug that goes to the back of the cb?

How is the firestick mounted? The mount itself should be grounded to the body of the truck. If it is mounted to steel then that isn't your issue. You guys played with all the knobs and such right?
Maby take it back for a new one? If the transmit wire is busted in the mike you would still beable to hear noise and others talkin.

OK it's a brand new Midland radio and the firestick is mounted on the roof of the cab. We traded mics and his still did the same thing....? Oh well hope he gets it fixed I am leaving thhe country tomorrow
