CBs for the trail

The "right" way to do it at the fuse block (and my personal favorite) is to go to go to the wrecking yard, and look in the trucks there. Find the auxiallary wiring that plugs into the top of the fuse panel, one that works only when the ignition is on. If you can't read your fuse panel, just hook up a multimeter, and test those upper plugs until you find one that is only hot when the ignition is on. Make sure you get the right plug, each "column" on the fuse panel uses a different keyed connector. Cut ample length of that wire (with plug of course), and if you want, cut enough of another wire, same diameter, so that it will reach your cb. Then go home, solder the wire together, plug it into the fuse panel, and you have a no worries power wire, that is easy to disconnect if need be.
