I need to know what is involved in removing a computer controlled carb and replacing it with an Edlebrock Performer Q-Jet. I talked to an emissions testing place today and they said the cc carb is not required in northern Colorado where I live so I want to scrap it. Any advice would be helpful. My truck is an 86 Blazer with a 350 and a 700r transmission.

I've done the swap and I currently have that performer Q-jet you are thinking about. It's an easy swap, bolt on the edel Q-jet, drop in a vacuum advance distributer, and wire up a manual switch for the lock up on the converter. It's that easy. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif
