cd player problems need help

ok my sony explode cd player is about a year old about 2 months ago the cd part just stop working it never skipped or anything it was playing a cd and it just suddenly started skipping ( i was on smooth road also) and i went to change songs and that was it. it would not read the cd or anything. then i cleaned it and it still dont work. so whats up is it a bad cd player or did i do something wrong? i still have the box and reciept and i need to know if its faulty and needs to be returned or is there and easy fix. thanks

Have U tried a different CD? If they all do it, take it back.

I would be very wary of anything called Xplode. Maby you should get your money back.
Would you buy a tranny called Xplode?
I bought a set of Sony xplode speakers once in a fit of stupidity. They are total crap. Sounded worse than the stock GM ones. Thankfully good ol Walmart takes returns no questions asked.

I have had one bad deck , and it wasn't a CD player , it was a tape unit ( recently fixed with new faceplate ) . I have had a 5 year old Sony changer in my vehicle through every single wheeling trip until I just got the mp3/cd deck . Even with all the dust it still grabs burned cd's and plays them . Its going in my trail rig with the tape deck I recently fixed .

If its under warranty , warranty it .
