Does anyone have a product that really locks-out moisture on a concrete floor? I'm not looking to spend Epoxy-floor type money....just something to control moisture besides throwing down a bunch of rubber mats.

I've seen "Dry-Loc" (sp?) that is supposed to work on walls...

im not sure what its called, but i saw it on TV, people paint theie basement walls with it, it "soaks" into the wall....i think its called dry-lok....i'd imagine they sell it at home depot...

what's your problem? puddles in low spots? sweating concrete? seeps? my friend sealed his interior floors with some clear stuff that was industrial grade. i just called him and he can't remember what it's called, though.

The floor mostly just gets damp when there's moisture outside... no puddles, no standing water. Just a darker-looking concrete and the "smell" of moisture in the garage. The kind of thing that will put an annoying surface rust on metal, tools, etc.

Ideally, I should tear out the concrete and put a thick plastic moisture barrier down, then re-pour the pad. But I don't want to bother with that yet. Just looking for something moderately effective that will supress the moisture.

Look for a product called "aqua-stop" My uncle used to be a dealer. It was mixed up sorta like a thin cement and coated over the top of existing cement. It actualy seeps into the tiny cracks and stuff and fills them in. We used to seal concret water towers and stuff like that with it. I may even still have some around here, Id have to check. I do know that Aqua stop was a brand name and theres an actual product name as well. At the time there was 3 or 4 brand names but it was all the same product.

I can tell you the water towers around here was treated about 10 years ago and still dont leak. I will see if I can find out the actual product name for you.

Try different ready mix places by you. the ones we sell are Glaze and seal, permaseal, and floor coat. Are salesman gave me these in that order he would go.

Cool yobtaf has it in his post and I just went and found a bucket of it in my garage. The stuff I was refering to is "permaseal" Im sure it would work for your application.
