Center on a 14 bolt

Is the yoke center? Or center off of the axle tube flanges? They measure 3/4" different. Trying to center my top link mount.

Well unless you want want one wheel further out than the other then I would suggest going off the the wheel mounting surfaces.

That is what I am thinking. Which the axle tube flanger should be correct unless they have different spindle lengths left to right.

Hubs and drums and shoes are same side to side. Backing plates are different, but I'd swear they're just mirror images, so I can only assume the spindles have to be the same length.

I pulled the wheels and went off of the mounting surface. It turns out the pinion is not centered. Probabley some are and some are not. QC not importent I guess.

I had to measure mine 5-6 times before I burned in the perches. I just looked weird. Measured in from the disc brake mounts. Axle is centered and looks fine as far as tires are concerned but the pinion was offset/not center. This was a one ton 14bolt.

Not all axles have exact centered pinions. 14 bolt is a function of its design.

I measure off the end of the axles. I have never actually measured the spindles side to side but I would bet they are the same as is the flange
