72 blazer: As stated above the PO either cut/broke off or welded up and painted over the center 2 hardtop bolts in the window frame.

My question is, can/should I run the hard top with only the corner visor bolts holding the front?

Rather not open the can of worms it might be fixing the center bolts if not 100% necessary
Thanks

If it doesn't leak then it should be fine. If I remember correctly, the 73-75 tops only had 2 plates that attach the top to the windshield frame.

73 to 75 had 3 too. I don't think it will hurt anything but I would be for fixing it. I ran my 73 with just the center ones in for a while never had an issue

Just looked at my spare 73-75 top and ... you're right. :doah:
Looks like I'll have to make/find a bracket since I only have 2.

Thanks for all the answers...I'll fix it here soon but just didn't want to start trying to drill, tap right into some shotty welding or mess with a broke and seized bolt right away.... Kinda wanna just enjoy the truck for a few weeks before projects begin

Well we have another issue..... One of the threaded bars in the hard top(visor mount) just free spins.
So..... What are common options for fixing this? Afraid your gonna say cut open top replace and then have top rebuild.
