Central Tire Inflation

I'm not sure if this is the right area to post this, or if the information is on here someplace but I couldn't find it

How much was different about the old military blazers? They had a CTIS on them right, they didn't have portal axles though did they? If they did indeed have a regular straight axle, and central tire inflation, how did they do it? Could anybody provide, or point me towards some more information about this. Preferably with lots of pictures

Eh, not the CUCV's, no. The HMMWV's, and some of the bigger trucks have CTIS... but not the CUCV's, no.
