Just want a few bits to back what I am thinking.

Engine GM Goodwrench 350, 4 bolt main. Stock. 74cc head running roughly 8.5:1 compression ratio.

Will be doing a cam change when engine comes out and freshening it up.

Looking at the Edelbrock Pro Flo EFI (750 CFM) and the Edelbrock Performer Pro Flo EFI (1000 cfm).

Would the 1000 cfm be overkill to the engine?

fuel injection uses more CFM than carburated. So your 454 1000 would not be overkill. 750 sounds about right to me. Someone correct me if I'm off here but I think TPI stock throttle body is about 650CFM maybe 700.

Actually believe its around 500. But thats choking a healthy 350 (along with other things like the long runners) so I'd suspect much more than that for a healthy 454.

you sure? I know TBI is like 450-500 at best.

Just found it, factory TPI is 625 CFM. The bigger throttle bodies for TPI flow 1000CFM(accel).

Yep, finding the same info. Apparently the stock throttle body isn't the hinderance the runners and intake are.

All right going to go with 750. I was thinking the 1000 would be over kill. So going to go with the 750. Thanks.
