Seems this one can't stay bought. Previously seen in other Corvallis, Oregon 2014 Craigslist ads / Portland, Oregon 2015 Craigslist ads, and last seen in an assortment of Eugene, Oregon Craigslist ads from Oct 2016 to Sept 2018 where it started at $8500 and fizzled to $4500 and had a bumper-mounted winch/grille guard and no interior cabinets at all, now it is a bit more shiny with different wheels, an apparently factory stock spare carrier out front, and newly made interior cabinets and the same still unfixed rust holes in the hood. Worth the price hike? Not really.

O. M. G. (to use the parlance of the Valley girls). This one is back again, except is is now on ebay, https://www.ebay.com/itm/273755182124 with the bidding current up at over $20k! The seller's description bizarrely says "Define one in original condition". This one's interior sure ain't, like I said in my first post here. Man do I feel sorry for whoever ends up being the high bidder winner.

and the blown out oil crusted over shock in the next to the last pic on the rattle can undercoat frame black job .

Long story short, this #1203 later ended up being bought out of the above eBay auction I linked to in my post #7 above by a guy who later told me he was unaware that the rig had an entirely non-original camper interior and that the pop-up roof had been glued down. Four years later in 2023, he listed it with an $8 grand markup at his own website, and then in July 2024 put in a $2 grand price cut.

However, I just found out a day ago that it was sold at the Houston April 3 Mecum auction https://www.mecum.com/lots/1145011/1977-chevrolet-blazer-chalet/ but since I don't have a sign-in account with Mecum, I don't know what the winning bid was. All of the photos at the Mecum page are the same ones the owner had at his own website listing.

Could any of you guys who do have a Mecum account post a screengrab photo of the page showing the winning bid?

Many, many thanks for that! Will add it to my paper printout history for this rig. Seller took a $7 grand loss from his eBay purchase. Funny thing there is that if he'd contacted me before the March 2019 eBay seller snagged it, he could have bought it for maybe $9 grand from its months-prior Corona CA Craigslist seller, and today would have made around a $4 grand profit today.

Gawd save me from flipsalers.

First, note the two-post-replies-above comment by our CK5 man @muddybuddy who got a screengrab of the winning Mecum Houston auction bid.

Now, have a look at the PC Classic Cars guys' website page https://www.pcclassiccars.com/car-inventory/1977-chevrolet-blazer-cheyenne-chalet---350---auto---ac and their Dallas Craigslist ad for their asking price ...... and if they disclose anywhere that the roof is permanently glued down or that the camper interior is completely non-original.

“Chalet package with camper (needs restoration)” Is as close as they get to admitting its trash.

I avoid Facebook logins like the plague, but figured the odds would be heavy on several posts about this. Give the seller some credit, at the 3:30 of his FB driving description video he does actually mention that the top is "molded in" but then implies that it might be an easy job to get that undone with the vinyl popup material replaced. True on the latter thing, but that really applies to fully functional popup tops, I know two guys who know service people who can do the vinyl material replacement along with re-mfd'd scissors lift slides. But prying the top off this one?? Good luck with that project . . . .

Price hike from that last Sherman TX dealer price of $35,500 to now $42,000.

Same glued-down roof. But is it my imagination, or is this new flipsaler have it in the same murky inside photos area as the prior classic car dealer? (archived ad linky)
