Serial #1041, built 12/76. I'm wondering about it a bit since the owner had been uploading photos of it to your Yahoo Chalet owners' forum showing the progress of his 3/4 ton axle conversion, then it showed up on Craigslist about two weeks ago, then on eBay, then in a Craigslist ad over the weekend as part of a huge estate sale.

You know, of all C/K trucks, the Chalet has to be the ultimate "1-way plane ticket" purchase. Fly to California, pick up the vehicle and see the country on the way back, camping in the truck the whole time.

And it is back once more. It did indeed have a winning bidder on May 14th for $5000, and it even had positive feedback for the auction winner in the seller's ebay feedback page, which I thought was weird, but when I contacted the seller, it turns out the winning bidder ran into financial difficulties but was honest about communicating with the seller about it, thus the positive feedback.
