Hi I have a 1969 400 turbo tranny from a two wheel drive truck, I would like to convert it to a 4 wheel drive tranny. How do you do this? thank you for your help /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif

You need to unbolt the yoke and tailhousing and get a measurement.

If the shaft stickout is 2.5", then you can bolt on a NP208 or NP241.

If the shaft stickout is 4.5", then you can bolt on an NP205.

Other length/spline shafts can be swapped in, but require a full tear-down to install it.

Trouble is when you're buying a t-case and adapter, usually the tranny comes as part of the package /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

2wd tranny wil not have 4x4 output shaft, you will need to put a 4x4 output in the tranny since it has a 2wd one in it currently

good luck
