Change out tailgate ans top!

Hi everyone! I'm reaching out for some advice. I've got a rusted-out tailgate on my K5, so I've purchased a replacement. I plan to transfer all the components and switch out the top for a black one. Since the new tailgate is gutted, I'd like to paint it with rust protection for the chassis saver. Ideally, I'd like to match the color of my K5. Any suggestions? Thanks, Dave

I'm goung to paint the inside of the tailgatexwith chassis saver and then on the outside the regular paint.

I don't know that it would prevent rust on the inside, maybe someone else can chime in with more insight.

I think so because I used the chassis saver on my interior floor.
